Dr. Evgenia Alexandropoulou is a Professor in I.T. Law in the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia – Thessaloniki, where she’ s currently teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A former attorney at law at the Supreme Court, she headed the legal department of Egnatia Bank in Northern Greece. She was also a member of the editorial board of the Law Review “Harmenopoulos”, edited by the Bar of Thessaloniki. She has written several scientific books and articles on Civil, Banking, Labour, International and IT Law. In recent years her interests have focused mainly on personal data and software protection.

She is a holder of a LLM degree (Cambridge Law School, UK) a LLM degree from Yale Law School and a PhD on medical information law and ethics from the University of Athens. She was appointed Faculty Fellow at Harvard University, Center for Ethics and the Professions (2000-2001). She has been a NATO/an Onassis/a Rotary/an IKY/a Clare Hall (Cambridge, UK) and a Harvard scholar. She is an elected Co-Director the International Society for Ethics and Technology (2014-2018). She has authored five books, the latest being ‘A Defense of Intellectual Property Rights’, 2009, Edward Elgar Publishing (with Professor Richard Spinello) and has edited eight volumes on information law/ethics e.tc. She is also the author of more than 80 Greek and international publications on computer and information law/ethics, data protection, digital divide, library ethics, privacy medical/health law and others. She is a EU expert called in missions in Europe and beyond. She is the founder of the International Conference on Information Law and Ethics (ICIL) series, from 2008 onwards, of the Athens Data Protection Colloquium (with Dr. Fereniki Panagopoulou-Koutnatzi) and of the Medical Responsibility and Ethics (MRBE) conference series (with Dr. Fereniki Panagopoulou-Koutnatzi). She has been the organizer or numerous symposiums, seminars, colloquiums e.tc. She has delivered more than sixty speeches, presentations, lectures in Greece and abroad. She is the Head of the Research Team ‘Information: History, Regulation and Culture’.

David A. Frenkel was born in Tel Aviv, 1940, and lives in Beer-Sheva. He is emeritus professor at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, where he was the head of the Law Area at the Department of Business Administration, and professor of law at Carmel Academic Centre Law School, Haifa. His degrees include M. Jur. and LL.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Faculty of Law, in addition to his studies at the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv. He is the author of over 80 publications, including 11 books. Prof. Frenkel was the legal adviser of the Israeli Ministry of Health in the years 1976 – 1981. During the years 1990-1997 he was the legal adviser of the municipality of Beer-Sheva. He is the chairman of the Ethics Committees of Soroka Medical Center and of the Southern District of Israel. Prof. Frenkel was a visiting professor at King's College London School of Law, and is the head of the law research unit of the Athens Institute of Education and Research. He is involved in international as well as national research committees. His research interests are in Business Law and Ethics, Employment Law, Medical and Health Laws and Ethics, and Philosophy of Law. Professor Frenkel is a member of the Israeli Bar. He was honored as Worthy of the City of Beer-Sheva in 2004. He has 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

He holds a B.Sc. (Mathematics, Univ. of Patras), a M.Sc. (Computer Science, City University of New York) and a Ph.D. (Critical Information Systems Security, Univ. of the Aegean). Prof. Gritzalis has served as Associate Commissioner of the Greek Data Protection Commission and as the President of the Greek Computer Society. Lambros Kotsiris is Professor emeritus of Law at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and a Member of the Greek Academy. He teaches at the National School of Judges, at the Hellenic Open University and at the Law School of the Aristotelian University (Erasmus students and students of the LL.M. Program). He has been the Head of the Legal Department in Greek banks (Chios Bank and Piraeus Bank). He has chaired and participated in numerous national and international conferences, in WIPO and in UNCITRAL. He has served as member (and president) of many Committees working on law proposals in the fields of copyright, the structural reform of privatization, insolvency law and the adoption of Model Insolvency Law of UNCITRAL. He served also as a member and as a president of many institutions, such as the Hellenic Copyright Organization, the National Committee of Professional Athletics and the Institute of the Aegean for the Law of the Sea & Maritime Law. Dr Alan Mckenna is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Kent, UK, teaching Tort Law, and a Visiting Lecturer at City University, London, teaching Intellectual Property Law. He holds a Ph.d and LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Kent. His published work includes articles on communications convergence, online privacy, and computer waste. She has served as a Member of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1999-2003) and as Adviser to the Prime Minister in sectors of Information Society and Public Administration (1996 - 2004). From 1998 till 2004 she was the national representative in the EC- Committee on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data. She served as member of many Committees working on law proposals in the fields of data protection(transposition of Directives 95/46/EC, 97/66/EC and 02/58/EC), electronic government, electronic commerce etc. Her professional experience includes senior consulting and researcher positions in a number of private and public institutions. She is a lawyer, a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1990. She has worked as legal consultant of a bank’s commercial credit insurance company (1997-2005). Irini Stamatoudi is a lawyer and is currently the Director of the Hellenic Copyright Organization, which belongs to the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports. She holds degrees from the University of Athens (Greece) (Ptyhio Nomikis) and from the University of Leicester (UK) (LL.M. and Ph.D.). She worked as a lecturer at the University of Leicester until 2001 when she returned to Greece. Christina Angelopoulos studied law at the University of Athens and went on to complete her LL.M. course on European law at the University of Edinburgh. She joined IViR in 2008, where, alongside other research projects, she worked as editor for IRIS, the monthly newsletter on audiovisual law published by the European Audiovisual Observatory. As part of the EuropeanaConnect project, she also performed and coordinated the legal research behind the creation of IViR and NL Kennisland's online Public Domain Calculators.
Currently, Christina is a Ph.D. candidate at IViR. Her thesis will focus on the liability of online intermediaries for copyright infringement.

Theodore Asprogerakas-Grivas is the senior Legal Adviser of AEPI (Hellenic Intellectual Property Society), which collectively represents, administers and protects in Greece the economic rights of authors, composers, lyricists and other rightowners in their musical works (local and international). He is also the Legal Adviser of SOPE (the Hellenic Copyright Protection Society), which, among others, represents, administers and protects in Greece the “grand” rights of foreign authors of theatrical works, directors, script-writers and composers of classical music. He provides legal consultation and also practices active litigation on all Intellectual Property matters before national Courts, the European Court of Justice, the Court of First Instance of the European Communities and the European Court of Human Rights. He has published several monographs and articles on Intellectual Property and other fields of law. Enrico Bonadio is Senior Lecturer in Law at City University London (City Law School), where he teaches Intellectual Property Law and EU Law. He holds law degrees from the University of Florence (PhD) and the University of Pisa (LLB). Enrico is Associate Editor and Intellectual Property Correspondent of the European Journal of Risk Regulation.
He regularly lectures, publishes and advises in the field of UK, European and international intellectual property law. He recently published a book on TRIPS Agreement and genetic resources (Jovene, 2008) and several articles in leading international peer-reviewed journals, including Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property, John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law, European Intellectual Property Review, Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice, Computer and Telecommunications Law Review, International Trade Law & Regulation and European Journal of Risk Regulation. He also regularly acts as reviewer on an ad hoc basis for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice and the European Journal of Risk Regulation, inter alia. He received the ECTA Award for the Best Paper in Trademark Law in 2013 (plain packaging of tobacco products under European intellectual property law). Enrico is Visiting Professor in European Intellectual Property Law at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and Université Catholique de Lyon as well as visiting lecturer at the LLM in Intellectual Property offered by WIPO and the University of Turin. He also recently taught at Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala, University of Wroclaw (Poland), Moscow State Law Academy (Russia), Université de Toulouse (France) and University of Pisa (Italy).
n 2013 he has been Visiting Scholar at Melbourne Law School (University of Melbourne, Australia).
Enrico is a Solicitor qualified to practise in England and Wales as well as in Italy. He practised as Intellectual Property attorney for several years in top-tier international law firms.
Enrico is also regular consultant with the European Commission - DG Enlargement (TAIEX - Technical Assistance and Information Exchange), providing technical assistance and advice on the transposition of EU intellectual property legislation into the national legislation of beneficiary countries.
After receiving his LLB degree he attended the Post-Graduate Course in International Trade Law (jointly organised by the University Institute of European Studies of Turin and the International Labour Organization), as well as the Specialization Course in Intellectual Property (jointly organised by WIPO and the University of Turin).

She has been a NATO/an Onassis/a Rotary/an IKY/a Clare Hall (Cambridge, UK) and a Harvard scholar. She is an elected Co-Director the International Society for Ethics and Technology (2014-2018). She has authored five books, the latest being ‘A Defense of Intellectual Property Rights’, 2009, Edward Elgar Publishing (with Professor Richard Spinello) and has edited eight volumes on information law/ethics e.tc. She is also the author of more than 80 Greek and international publications on computer and information law/ethics, data protection, digital divide, library ethics, privacy medical/health law and others. She is a EU expert called in missions in Europe and beyond. She is the founder of the International Conference on Information Law and Ethics (ICIL) series, from 2008 onwards, of the Athens Data Protection Colloquium (with Dr. Fereniki Panagopoulou-Koutnatzi) and of the Medical Responsibility and Ethics (MRBE) conference series (with Dr. Fereniki Panagopoulou-Koutnatzi). She has been the organizer or numerous symposiums, seminars, colloquiums e.tc. She has delivered more than sixty speeches, presentations, lectures in Greece and abroad. She is the Head of the Research Team ‘Information: History, Regulation and Culture’.

Sabina Eftimova has been working as an assisstant professor at the Library Management Department of the State University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (SULSIT). In 2012 she has gained PhD in scientific field “Book Science, Librarianship and Bibliography”. Her dissertation’s theme is “Bibliotherapy (History, Theory, Practice, Contemporaneity).
Dr. Eftimova lectures the following courses: „National bibliography” and “Information Resources”. She has created 2 disciplines – “Bibliotherapy” and “Library Psihology”. She is a co-complier in one collection and author of more than 40 articles.
She participates in projects under Ordinance № 9, and project for young scientists funded by NSF: "New policies for stimulating the reading. Research of the bookcrossing practices in Bulgaria". Dr. Eftimova has been involved as project coordinator of the scientific project „Analysis of the common practices in the use of products of intellectual property in university information environment” DMU 03/3, funded by the National Science Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Eftimova is a member of the Association of university libraries and the Bulgarian Library and Information Association. Sabina Eftimova's research interests and publications are in the reading, bibliotherapy, the psychology and pedagogy of reading.

Prof. Konstantinos Kalemis is an Instructor at the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (E.K.D.D.A.) in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning and assigned at the Department of Primary Education (PTDE) in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has authored a large number of scientific articles, studies and papers in Educational Congress and Seminars. His interests focus on the introduction of New Technologies as an alternative teaching process and the design of new curriculum plans for the open and d-Learning. His research interests also include the education of immigrant ethnic minorities focusing on the gifted and talented students and aim to advance the theory and technology of natural language and knowledge processing, especially semantic analysis that bridges the gap between language and knowledge, by the novel use of both machine learning and inference methods; and to develop usable and competitive knowledge retrieval, question answering and textual entailment approaches enhanced by the semantic analysis techniques for providing context- and knowledge-aware intelligent services such as knowledge querying, delivering, assessing and sharing in education and business information systems.

Emmanouel Laskarides is barrister at law in Athens, Teaching Assistant at the Democritian University of Thrace and works also as Legal Expert at the Public Health and Social Security Sector of the Greek Ombudsman.
In 2006 he worked as a Legal Auditor at the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. He was member at the Legislative Commission for the unification of the legislation of the Greek N.H.S. (2007-2008) and at the Legislatory Commission for the Social Security of non-insured citizens.
He studied Law at the University of Athens and continued his postgraduate studies at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. The topic of his doctor thesis was "Electronic Patient` s Card. The duty of medical recording and the electronic data process"(in German).
He is the editor of the "Code of Medical Ethics - Comments on the Code of medical Deontology (Greek)", a collective book of 21 Greek lawyers, physicians, academics and judges and is the writer of many publications in Greek, French and English journals in reference to contracts, civil liability, data protection, medical law, sports law and real estate.

Dr. Leandros Lefakis, graduated from the Law School of the University of Athens andreceived a postgraduate degree in International Business Transactions from the University of London with a scholarship from "Clara Abbott Foundation" and another postgraduate degree (LL.M) in Intellectual Property from the University of Kent. He also received a doctorate degree from the University of Athens regarding biotechnology patents and conducted postdoctoral studies in the area of human stem - cell patents. As a lawyer he gives advice in respect of a wide area of issues arising in multinational corporations' investments in Greece, coordinating legal due diligence teams and counseling on respective regulatory issues. He also advises local companies on ongoing corporate and industrial property issues and drafts and negotiates commercial contracts. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic intellectual Property Organization of the Greek Ministryof Culture and he represented Greece in many international organizations and European Union instruments. Concurrently, he teaches civil and company law at the Faculty of Regional Economic Development of the University of Central Greece. He has published three books related to biotechnology, stem - cell patents and bioethics, so as many articles in Greek, English and French.

She worked as a trainee lawyer in Larissa from 1998 to 2000, where she was awarded the Lawyer’s License by the Bar Association of the aforementioned city. In 2003, she transferred to the Bar Association of Athens and in 2005 to the Bar Association of Corfu, where she has been working as a lawyer till date.
She teaches Law in public and private post-secondary education institutions.
She is a Mediator, certified by CEDR and the Hellenic Ministry of Justice. She is also a Mediator Trainer certified by the Toolkit Company.

Vincent C. Müller's research focuses on the nature and future of computational systems, particularly on the prospects of artificial intelligence. He is the coordinator of the European Network for Cognitive Systems, Robotics and Interaction (2009-2014) with over 900 members, funded by the European Union through two FP7 projects with 3.9 mil. € (www.eucognition.org). In this role, he also organises two large conferences each year. Separately, he organizes a series of conferences on the 'Theory and Philosophy of AI' ( www.pt-ai.org ).
Müller has published a number of articles on the philosophy of computing, the philosophy of AI and cognitive science, the philosophy of language, and related areas. He has edited several volumes on the theory of cognitive systems and artificial intelligence (more are forthcoming) and is preparing a monograph on the fundamental problems of AI and. He studied philosophy with cognitive science, linguistics and history at the universities of Marburg, Hamburg, London and Oxford.

Tatiana Synodinοu obtained her law degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She completed her postgraduate studies at the University Aix-Marseille III and her doctoral and postdoctoral studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki receiving fellowships from the Greek Scholarship Foundation and by the Committee of Research of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Prior to her appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of Cyprus, Tatiana Synodinou worked as scientific collaborator with teaching duties at the Faculty of Law of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2001-2004) and at the Interdisciplinary postgraduate program of “Informatics and Management” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also worked as a full-time Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Mass Media of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Accounting and Finance of the University of Macedonia, as a short- time Visiting Lecturer at the postgraduate program “Μ2 Recherche Droit de Propriété Intellectuelle” of the University of Nantes and as a scientific collaborator to the Centre of International and European Economic Law.
Dr. Synodinou has been a member of the Bar Office of Thessaloniki since 2000.
She has worked as a short time expert to EU twinning projects and was a member of the e-business Advisory Board for the study “Intellectual Property for ICT producing SMEs” in the context of the the "Sectoral e-Business Watch" 2007-2008.
She is a case law reporter for “Kluwer Law International” to the legal database «Kluwer EU IP Cases» and a contributor to Kluwer Copyright Blog.
She has also been a National expert for the Public Domain Calculator project, Europeana Connect (www.outofcopyright.eu)
She has participated as a speaker to numerous conferences-study days-seminars. She has been the main organizer of the International Conference “Towards a European Copyright Code?” which was held on April 14-15, 2011 at the University of Cyprus.

Ivan Trenchev is an author of the monographs “Introduction in Matlab” (2011) and “Neural Networks” (2012) and more than 30 articles.
Trenchev has been involved as coordinator in more than 5 national and international projects. At the moment he is a project coordinator of the Scientific Projects "Enhancement of the Competitiveness and Restructuring of the Food Subsectors Through Benchmarking” (F.IND. CONSULTING) and “Interregional Cooperation At Scientific Computing In Interdisciplinary Science” (ICoSCIS), funded by the European Territorial Cooperation Programme “Greece-Bulgaria 2007-2013”.

She creates 5 different disciplines – “Information resources”, “Intellectual property”, “Intellectual Property in Internet”, “Social networks and Internet”, “Law, Media and Advertisement”. Tereza Trencheva is an author of the monograph “Open Access to Scientific Information” (2013), one collection and more than 40 articles.
Dr. Trencheva has been involved as project planner and coordinator in more than 10 national and international projects. At the moment she is a project manager of the scientific project "Analysis of the Common Practices in the Use of Products of Intellectual Property in University Information Environment", funded by the National Science Fund of the Ministry of Education and Science in the competition "Young Scientists". She has developed and coordinated partnerships with more national and international institutions related with intellectual property rights.
Tereza Trencheva is a Member of Informing Science Institute (USA); Bulgarian Association of Intellectual Property Teachers, Union of Scientists in Bulgaria; Association of University Libraries. She is a peer reviewer of many international conferences in the field informing science such as InSite and e-Society Conferences.
Tereza Trencheva is often invited as a speaker or expert at International Conferences to present her IP experiences and the European and national projects in which she is involved.

Georgios Yannopoulos (born Athens, 1964) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law of the University of Athens, teaching Legal Informatics. He is a graduate of the same Faculty (1988) and holds interdisciplinary qualifications in Computer Programming (1986) and Systems Analysis (1987). He has accomplished a PhD (1996, Greek State Scholarship) and has conducted post-doctoral research (1997), at Queen Mary College, University of London. In 1996-97 he was a Senior Research Fellow at the University of London and in 1998 a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster. From 1999 to 2004 he was a Special Teaching Fellow at the University of Athens. He is the author of two books and various publications relating to substantive IT Law and Computer Applications in Law. His research interests include Internet Law and Regulation, the Liability of Intermediaries, Access to Legal Information, Legal Databases and Legal Expert Systems. He is a Lawyer (admitted 1990, Athens Bar Association), currently counselling a bank and has worked in telecommunications (OTE SA) and the Organising Committee of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.
