Message from Herman T. Tavani, INSEIT President
"On behalf of INSEIT (the International Society for Ethics and Technology), a sponsor of ISIL 2010, I wish you every success during your third annual seminar."

On behalf of INSEIT (the International Society for Ethics and Technology), a sponsor of ISIL 2010, I wish you every success during your third annual seminar. Having had the honor of attending and chairing a session at ISIL 2009, I have every reason to expect that this year's seminar will also be an excellent forum in which to discuss and debate key ethical issues affecting information law. I would also like to remark on the outstanding job that I believe Lecturer Maria Bottis has done in putting together a seminar that has gained international prominence in such a short time; I am particulaly impressed with how the seminar series she envisioned has grown over the last three years, from a fledgling conference to one that is now comparable with premier conference series such as CEPE and Ethicomp (that have been around for approximately 15 years).

I regret that I cannot be there in person with you this year to participate in the third annual seminar. I have no doubt that the quality of the papers listed in the ISIL 2010 Program and the presentations by this year's two distinguished keynote speakers will ensure a highly successful event.

In closing, I would just like to say that it was good to see many of you last sumer in Corfu -- some at ISIL 2009, others at CEPE 2009, and some at both events! I hope to see many of you again in the summer of 2011: at ISIL 2011 in Corfu, and at CEPE 2011 in Milwaukee (USA).

Herman T. Tavani
President, INSEIT
